About the Skateboarding Skeleton Artwork:

In 1977, Bones wheels were promoted through two black-and-white posters created by artist VCJ. The following year, Court took on the task of turning this theme into a skateboarding skeleton concept. To achieve a realistic image, Court enlisted the help of George who sourced a life-sized skeleton from a medical supply shop. Named Rosie, the skeleton was propped and rigged for several hours by Court before being frozen into a skateboarding position. This iconic Bones sticker and T-shirt graphic, finished in 1978, marked the first illustration for the newly established Powell Peralta brand.

Created by renowned artist Vernon Courtlandt Johnson, this Powell Peralta youth tee boasts a large back graphic and small left chest graphic, plus a screen printed logo and inside label. Made from 5.5oz 100% soft spun cotton jersey, this tee is both preshrunk and stylishly durable.
